Avihitham is a sharp and quietly humorous Malayalam drama directed by Senna Hegde, set in the tranquil village of Kanhangad. The story begins when Prakashan (Renji Kankol), returning home after a night of drinking, believes he has caught his neighbor Vinod (Vineeth Chakyar) in an illicit affair with an unknown woman in the backyard of a local carpenter, Madhavan. Prakashan shares this suspicion with Venu (Unni Raj), a tailor, and what starts as harmless gossip soon snowballs into a frenzy of speculation and investigation by a group of village men determined to uncover the "truth."

The film stands out due to its natural and authentic performances from actors including Vrinda Menon, Dhanesh Koliyat, and Rakesh Ushar, which add to the genuine rural atmosphere.
