Jai Bhim (2021) :

Jai Bhim tells the powerful story of Advocate Chandru, played by Suriya, a fearless lawyer who stands up against a corrupt system to seek justice for Sengeni, portrayed by Lijomol Jose. Her husband, Rajakannu (Manikandan), a member of the marginalized Irular tribe, is wrongfully accused of theft and brutally tortured by the police.

When Rajakannu mysteriously disappears from police custody, Sengeni approaches Chandru for help. Determined to uncover the truth, Chandru takes on a long and difficult legal battle, exposing the deep-rooted corruption and police brutality that plague the system.

The film also stars Prakash Raj as IG Perumalsamy and Rao Ramesh as the judge. Inspired by real events, Jai Bhim is a deeply moving tale of courage, justice, and the struggle for human rights, showing how one man’s determination can bring hope to the oppressed.
