Kishkindha Kaandam is a Malayalam mystery thriller directed by Dinjith Ayyathan, starring Asif Ali as forest officer Ajay Chandran, Aparna Balamurali as his wife Aparna, and Vijayaraghavan as Appu Pillai, Ajay’s ageing father. The story follows the couple as they move into a house on the edge of a dense forest notorious for its aggressive troop of monkeys, creating an unsettling atmosphere right from the start.

As days pass, Aparna begins to notice peculiar changes in Appu Pillai’s behaviour. Struggling with fading memory and haunted by flashes of his past, he grows increasingly unstable. When his service revolver goes missing, a police inquiry unfolds and slowly exposes hidden tensions within the family. Aparna is drawn into a web of mystery, uncovering fragments of Ajay’s past and the painful truth behind the disappearance of their son.
